About FIERCE

The FIERCE Coalition is a statewide coalition of grassroots leaders, students, and organizations building power in Filipina/x/o American communities across California. We fight for racial, social, and economic justice through policy advocacy and organizing.

What We Do

FilAm Advocacy Day

The FIERCE Coalition hosts the Annual FilAm Advocacy Day at the California State Capitol, where we organize our community and membership to meet with lawmakers and speak directly about our needs and priorities.

Statewide Policy Symposium

Each year, we gather leaders, organizers, and advocates to hear from subject matter experts on the issues that impact our communities. In this space, we engage in collaborative discussions to build our shared vision and collective statewide approach to moving policy.

Policy Advocacy

We develop a yearly policy agenda rooted in our values of equity, justice, and representation, and work during the legislative session to advocate for the bills that impact our communities.

Grassroots Mobilization:

The Coalition educates and empowers Filipina/x/os to take part in the legislative process and build civic power.
